Erlenmeyer Flask:

Approximate volumes are marked on the side. Erlenmeyer flasks are used in the same role as beakers and Florence flasks, but have an improved design. The flat bottom and cylindrical neck minimize losses of solution due to evaporation. The narrow neck also makes it possible to swirl the solution in the flask, as is necessary for instance in titration, without splashing the liquid.

Also, because it has a low center of gravity due to its design, it is considerably harder to knock over than other types of glassware. Its design has been incorporate in coffee mugs which are also difficult to spill.
